Doe Demure has changed my life! I discovered burlesque in her classes 3 years ago and I am now obsessed with it! She is an amazing teacher, skilled, inspiring, encouraging and friendly. Her routines are always fun, even when challenging and put me in a great mood! The dance styles are varied and the song choices are always cool. She has given me the confidence and opportunity to perform solo. I've recently started bellydance too, which I love. Throughout my time dancing with Doe Demure, Skytribe & Chicas Locas Burlesque (almost 8 years!) I can honestly say I am completely in love with being part of such a talented and caring community. I have had the opportunity to learn a variety of dance styles with Doe Demure and she always delivers her lessons, both in person and online, with professionalism, polish and inclusivity. Her teaching style is informative, detailed and helpful, as well as being, above all things, so kind. I have been training with Doe and The Chicas Locas in Leicester in Burlesque (in person and online) since 2015. I first joined through the six week beginner class and although it took a lot of strength to walk through the door, I am forever grateful I did. I found a inspirational, creative, talented teacher with a brilliant sense of humour. I found a wonderful community of people looking to support each other and help everyone grow. Finally, I found an environment to forget and escape whatever stresses I have for that hour class. Learning from Doe has led to numerous group and solo performances and I can’t see myself stopping anytime soon! I’d urge anyone curious to give it a try, you’ve got nothing to loose.

I honestly can't think of a more fabulous or talented dance teacher than Hannah! I started dancing shortly after graduating and have been able to try all kinds of dance from burlesque to hulahooping and I've loved every minute! Taking part in shows or joining as an audience member is an incredible experience and I can't wait to do more of it! I started Burlesque with the 6week beginners course in January 2020 and it was amazing! Doe was so welcoming and put me at ease straight away! We learnt basic burlesque moves, glove and stocking removal and learnt a routine to perform at the spring showcase- performing is always optional so you are by no means under any pressure to perform!! But me being me I took the opportunity and it was the best thing ever!! Sadly Covid-19 meant we had to then take online classes however Doe pulled it out of the bag! We had access to online zoom classes as well as per recorded routines to learn :) During this time there were online show opportunities too which I have successfully performed in, once live! And one Pre recorded show! AMAZING! I’m now learning new group routines to be able to perform LIVE at Barefoot festival and Mountsorell revival! and choreographing a solo for the online show :) Doe’s burlesque classes have given me new found confidence and I love it! I honestly can’t thank her enough! She’s such a supportive teacher and amazing choreographer! I would 100% recommend any of her classes if you’re looking for something new and exciting to try!

I joined Doe Demure’s introduction to Burlesque group. I just wanted to have some fun, learn something new and get some body confidence. I got all of that in abundance. I always felt comfortable at the studio and had a great time. We learnt a variety of different styles and techniques and it was so much fun. It was well pitched for all of the group to join in with and be challenged. Doe is great teacher and I would recommend the classes to anyone looking to dip their toes into the world of Burlesque.

Can highly recommend Doe's belly dance classes. After my stepdad died I needed something to distract me & make time for myself. These classes were perfect. Doe is a fun instructor who makes the class enjoyable and easy to follow. It was seriously so much fun, looked forward to it every week. I only stopped when work changed & I couldn't get there on time. If you're thinking about it, try it, you won't regret it.
